Here are a few images from a recent photo shoot of Merrick for his first birthday.
Ready for the wedding season to begin!
I posted this image from Ellen and PJ's wedding last fall, and thought I would share it one more time. Felicia took the shot while I was shooting at The Outing Club with a fisheye lens.
Right now it"s a gloomy day in March and it's actually snowing. The wedding season will be soon be in full swing and I am ready to get back to shooting every weekend! I was sitting around this afternoon bored and thinking, "What would I be doing now if was at a wedding?'
In a few weeks, the wedding season will be in full swing, and so will spring!
Wedding Photography Partnership
I am happy to announce we are now offering wedding photography partner packages! Felicia Bonynge and Kristi Clark will provide wedding photography services in a partnership endeavor with my studio. Felicia will be the primary photographer the day of the wedding along with a second shooter, and Kristi will also shoot and be involved in editing and album design. I will be involved in sales and marketing, planning, administration, and oversee quality control.
Felicia is graduate of the Ohio Institute of Photography and has been a wedding photographer for two studios. She has been working for me almost a year, and her portfolio is impressive. Felicia designs most of my client's albums and is also involved in the post-wedding editing process. Likewise, her personality and professional demeanor is well suited for wedding photography. I am happy to have her share this opportunity with us!
Kristi Clark is going on her third year of working weddings with me on a regular basis. Her work has been featured on my blogs since the first season we worked together. My brides love her work as well as her personality. Kristi has an artistic, creative eye in her wedding photography compositon, as well as a knack for close attention to detail.
My clients always select a good number of Felicia and Kristi's images for their coffee table album, and that is one of the ways I assess the quality of their work. I do want to make one thing clear; we are not in the business of booking multiple weddings on any given Saturday, and sub-contracting out the photography, editing, and album design. This is a partnership between the three of us. When you book wedding photography with this studio you will be contracted with Felicia, Kristi, and myself.
Wedding photography pacakges with Felicia will be in the $1800.00 - $2500.00 range. We are currently booking packages with Felicia and Kristi for 2008 and 2009; the interest and response has been great!
We will soon have galleries and bio pages on my business web site for both Felicia and Kristi. For now you can view their work in the archives on my blogs.
If you would like some information about wedding photography with Felicia and Kristi, please call my studio.
Felicia has been working with me since last May. I met at her at a wedding I shot in Aledo in 2006 for her sister-in-law. Felicia is a graduate of The Ohio Institute of Photography and she worked for a studio in Ohio while going to school. She works in my office on album design and print orders in addition to shooting weddings. She and Kristi do great work and I have been fortunate to have them shooting for me.
Here are a few more favorites from Felicia's work this year. I will soon be adding a gallery on my business website for Felicia and Kristi, and we will soon be offering packages with them as a team!
I photographed Steve and Kristy's wedding in 2004, and they recently brought Madeline in for a session on her first birthday. Here are a few of my favorites!
I went to Rocky Mountain National Park in May of 2006, and I am just now getting around to editing the images! I picked out three of my favorites at first glance to print and hang on the wall.
Because I shoot and edit so many photographs for my business, I always put my personal images low on the priority list...way low!
I wish I could remember the details about location when I shot these images, but after two years I honestly can't remember. I do know that I hiked up a mountain for almost two hours through eight feet of snow covered trails, and finally made my way to the lake you see in one of the photos. It was one of the most beautiful, pristine, and peaceful places I have ever been in my life.
The basic principles of creative and artistic composition are the same for landscapes and people. And sometimes it's nice to take a picture just for the fun of taking a picture!
